Description
Plaster has fallen from the ceiling of a bedroom? onto a dressing table and chair. The mirror on the dresser has been covered with an open newspaper. On the dresser are a tray with carafe and glasses, bottles of Nectar [...] Beverage, bitters, and rum. A gun holster with bullets is draped over the right post on the mirror. Two shirts and a necktie are arranged on the chair, and coats or jackets hang on the door. The scene has been photographed at a 45 degree angle, rare in Harris' work. The photograph may have been taken to document an insurance claim.
