Description
The Crayton Sausage Company, Palmer Boyd, manager, had opened at 721 Larimer Avenue, Homewood, by 1948. The photograph shows a Dodge delivery truck, ca. 1948-1950, with the firm's logo, a large C" enclosing a breakfast bell, on its door and a promotional sign for its "Southern Style" products on the side rear window. The entrance to the company through a false front with street number 721 leads to a larger art deco facade still bearing its old number, 645. A shoe repair shop is located next door. A man wearing an overcoat and fedora hat stands on the sidewalk to the left."
