Attorney Henry Smith receiving an NAACP certificate from Dr. Chester Harris, Mr. Henry Smith, Dr. Hadley, Dr. Charles Cephas, Dr. McKinley King and Dr. Max Johnson. The award certifies that the Pi Chapter of Chi Delta Miu Fraternity is a life member of the NAACP. Dr. King and Dr. M. R. Hadley militated with the NAACP for hospital privileges for African-American doctors in the late 1940s.
