Four women and one man gather around a practice voting machine. In the background on the right one can see political fliers and directions on how to vote. The man and one of the women wear lapel ribbons saying Talley Worker, Pull the First Lever." Election poster on the far right lists Rev. Cornell Talley as a Republican candidate for City Council. Talley, pastor of the Central Baptist Church, ran in the Third Ward (Lower Hill) but lost the campaign. The style of clothing suggests a date of c.1945-1955."
