Description
The Baptist Temple Church, founded in the 1920s, is located at 7409 Frankstown Avenue in the Homewood section of Pittsburgh. Here, a man in a dark suit stands beneath a sign reading Baptist Temple Church, The Rev. J. A. Williams, Pastor." He is holding a stone plaque in one hand and a hammer? in the other. A different Harris image of the ceremony depicts the plaque with the date 1945. Several children watch in the foreground, and an older woman in skirt and jacket watches in the background."
